Just bought this boat and I’ve never owned a tunnel hull boat. It’s the 1860 center console 50hp 4 stroke. I’m having issues with the boat leveling out. I have a hydraulic jack plate messing with that and the trim doesn’t help the boat starts hopping out the water. When driving down the lake it’s shooting water over the back on the transom. I added a vent to the tunnel and still no help added a little speed but didn’t help with leveling the boat. How am I suppose to run inches of water with a boat that’s digging down in the back. Not to mention I replaced all the foam in the bottom of the boat. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

When running at full speed the cavitation plate on the engine should be visible on top of the water. If not the jack plate is more than likely too low causing the engine to work too deep in the water putting excess drag on the engine. Also, a good hydrofoil will help it jump up on plane pretty quick when you take off. Might have to play around with it a bit to find the "sweet spot" where it runs the best.
